North Korea's propaganda isn't so much creepy as it is behind the times. This is akin to the 'okay kids, here's how you hide under your desk in case a nuclear bomb drops' stuff America was putting out after WW2.

It's hard to criticize North Korea when you live in a country that has many of the same problems.

Prison labor? Check.

Lack of impartiality in the press? Check.

A constitution that guarantees civil liberties which the government ignores? Check.

They have a one party dictatorship. We have a two party dictatorship.

Their military sinks a South Korean ship every 10 years or so. Our military kills thousands of brown people every year.

Their economy has a strong agriculture and manufacturing base. We have a lot of fast food restaurants that 'manufacture' cheeseburgers that were manufactured in other countries by slave labor.

America would be totally screwed if we were as isolationist as North Korea.
