The best part of the movie was the unfilmed scene where they go to the funeral and Dante knocks over the casket while trying to fish his keys out of the dead girl's crotch.
Is it now lame to hate this film? Because Clerks is one of those movies that comes and goes as something hipsters and other cool people love or hate. It's a neverending cycle. Every five or so years internet decides Clerks is overrated and starts hating it. There will be people going against this 'new' found flow (neohipsters?) and by them the tide eventually turns only to repeat itself.
Opinions of Clerks is usually determined by how big of a douchebag Kevin Smith is being at any given time. I think the douchetide is slowly going out, so it's okay to like the movie again.
