I'm just glad all these people following a stupid internet meme like zombies will never, ever, reproduce.

Caminante Nocturno - 2011-08-10

Someone did some research.

Cena_mark - 2011-08-10

Quite accurate. I especially love how the bronies are shown as limp wristed sissy boys.
But they were wrong in how they represented the "persecution" at the hands of 4Chan. 4Chan didn't needlessly persecute them, they just got tired of the Bronies posting pony shit all the damn time. They had to boot the bronies to save the /b/.

Xenocide - 2011-08-10

What makes you think saving /b/ would be a good idea under any circumstances?

Cena_mark - 2011-08-10

Because like it or not, it is the wellspring from which internet culture is born.

Xenocide - 2011-08-10

That statement did not help your point.

EvilHomer - 2011-08-10

If Boxxy were still in power, this shit never would have happened.

Can we just go back to everyone hanging out at SA and bitching about Ebaumsworld?

BiggerJ - 2011-08-10

This has basically become The World Except For Our Country: The Animated Series. As an Australian, I approve of this stance of sitting back and laughing at everyone else. I even approve of the videos making fun of our own government, because honestly, have you seen it lately?

Xenocide - 2011-08-10

The US can't make a show called The World Except For Our Country because every episode would just be about people laughing at Americans. :(

eatenmyeyes - 2011-08-10

I would gladly accept a motorcycle ride from Rainbow Dash.
What is the Chinese word for "everypony"?

Cyberblah - 2011-08-10

Just put "every pony" in to Google Translate: 每小馬 (měi xiǎo mǎ).

Incidentally, pony is literally just "small horse."

Cena_mark - 2011-08-10

So in China the show's name would translate to The People's Little Little Horses.

Oktay - 2011-08-10

I like this one better:

Haters gonna hate -> 仇敵要去恨 -> Going to hate the enemy

Xenocide - 2011-08-10

What's funny is that the pony fandom isn't really that special or exceptional. Every decent cartoon on TV has a sizable adult fanbase that does more or less the same generally embarrassing things.

The thing is, nearly every other cartoon on TV is for boys. They all have their share of female fans, and this bothers no one. Reverse the genders, though, and people start to lose their shit.

Cena_mark - 2011-08-10

Its not that. Its that cartoons like Flap Jack and Adventure Time are awesome and well written. My Little Pony is jut stupid and girly.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2011-08-10

You have to admit it's probably healthier to watch than crap like "Pokemon" or "Inuyasha." At least with MLP, viewers don't have their ability to form coherent sentences damaged from the scripts.

And for a "girly" cartoon, it's got a rather large sci-fi action style (at least from the clips I've seen attached to trailer audio, like the one for "Serenity"). I can remember truly girly cartoons from when I was a kid that have ironic fan bases now, like "Jem," "Care Bears," and "Rainbow Brite," not to mention the god-awful attempts to make sitcoms into half-hour cartoons (like Punky Brewster).

Again, it's just a cartoon, and it's better than most of the drek that was shoveled our way over the years. Didn't we have something like a "crappy 80's cartoon week" a while back? I seem to recall the MC Hammer intro scarring my brain back then...

Caminante Nocturno - 2011-08-14

It was called "horrible cartoon infinity" and it brought back many terrible memories.

Void 71 - 2011-08-10

The internet was better when nobody used it.
