So, not a literalist. That's good, I guess.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2011-08-12

Still fucking crazy, though.

takewithfood - 2011-08-12

That sounded like a "yes" to me.

Xenocide - 2011-08-12

She respects him by doing whatever he tells her, and he respects her by not yelling at her when she walks in on him sucking off fifteen construction workers he met at the bathhouse.

fatatty - 2011-08-13

That sounded like a "dodge" to me.

charmlessman - 2011-08-12

Did she just say Marcus is a "wonderful, goblin man"?

Merzbau - 2011-08-12

Oh, Marcus Bachmann is gobblin' man, all right.

Xenocide - 2011-08-12

BOOOOOOOOOOOO! He's trying to hold her accountable for her own statements! KILL HIS CHILDREN!

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2011-08-12

Yeah, they're trying to make asking legitimate questions that don't have comfortable talking-point answers be defined as "gotcha" questions. Hell, Gingrich was the worst. He was asked about contradictory statements that he, himself, had fucking made over and over, and he tried to frame that as "gotcha."

After Bush, it's like all GOP candidates think they deserve to be handled like a special needs child, too.

Xenocide - 2011-08-13

They've discovered that whining every time they get asked a non-softball question has multiple benefits: it plays into the liberal media myth, it intimidates and discourages journalists from doing their jobs, it helps them be even less accountable than they already are, and it endears their base to them because modern Republican campaigning has devolved into one big race to play the biggest victim.

jangbones - 2011-08-12

This is Fox, so the candidates clearly got a complete list of all the questions they were going to get long before this debate happened.

Anyway, she answered the question by redefining the word "submission". Clever girl.

Cena_mark - 2011-08-12

I like how you liberals combat Fox New's "inaccuracies" by making up complete shit about them.

Ursa_minor - 2011-08-13

Like what? That is a serious question too, Cena. I don't know what you're referring to.

Cena_mark - 2011-08-13

Guys like Jangboner who make up bullshit about Fox News. They don't give them the questions in advance. And making up lies like that is pure lieberal hypocracy in action.

MongoMcMichael - 2011-08-13

As a can'tservative, you should really know when to hold your tongue when men are speaking. After all, aren't Coast Guardians the battered housewife of the armed service? Semper paratus for the dreamy Navy big boys and all that.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2011-08-13

I believe the words you mean to say are:

Fox News is a legal propaganda hate channel fueled by the ultra wealthy to convince the poor and middle class with a vengeance to vote against their better interests. The only solution in a sane society would be to arrest everyone in the top tiers of the company and try them for crimes against humanity and conspiracy against the American people.

The company should be seized and their assets dissolved and redistributed to better causes, such as health care.

I hope this answers your question.

notascientist - 2011-08-12

Funny, then, that the bible doesn't tell men to submit to their wives in quite so certain terms. What gives?

Gojira1000 - 2011-08-12

Actual evil is star-worthy

oddeye - 2011-08-12

See her lightbulb bullshit too. Basically she said "The feds will NO LONGER be able to DICTATE what lightbulbs I buy for MY OWN HOME once I am in the WHITEhouse." to some talking head after the debate.

hammsangwich - 2011-08-12

Thank you for not even remotely answering the question. Also, I wish an Inglorious Basterds type ending for that auditorium.

fatatty - 2011-08-13

Thank you Rhesplulerhe - ...

decoy - 2011-08-13

Followup question: What's it like to have been married to a secret sodomite for 33 years?

Jet Bin Fever - 2011-08-13

my thoughts exactly.

Timothy A. Bear - 2011-08-13

The scriptural passage includes the inference that the husband should be willing to die for his wife (as Christ gave himself up for the church). Wives submit to your husband, husband die for your wife. I woud say Marcus has fulfilled that.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2011-08-14

He triple died when Celine went on tour.
