THIS IS THE FIRST NINTENDO DS IT PLAYED THE FIRST HALO SPONGEBOB GAMES

themilkshark - 2011-08-14

I think he held back tears at the end.

Xenocide - 2011-08-14

I like how Gamestop Guy had to explain the concept of rarity to him. "Yes, some things in the world are worth ,000. Not everything. Just some things."

baleen - 2011-08-14

hahahaha

StanleyPain - 2011-08-14

The auction this guy is referring to is real, it was an online auction for Stadium Events, one of the rarest cartridges ever produced for the NES (something like only 200 real copies in the world) and some tard actually paid close to ,000 for it. So, frankly, it wouldn't surprise me if this guy had been able to con somebody into thinking it was worth ,000.

sosage - 2011-08-14

...and the game is just an early print run of what would become World Class Track Meet. A cartridge that is worth about 2 bucks. IIRC the game in the auction was loose as well. Someone paid 24,998 for a sticker variation.

Dudes like the guy in this video popped up like crazy after that auction. You can snag almost an entire NES collection for about 2-3K tops. For less than 1K if you're willing to do it piece by piece. That was even before it was a buyer's market and the NES was hot shit.

Going back to my basement of hoarded video games and loneliness.

Xenocide - 2011-08-14

He should probably have used an NES that didn't look like a dog had been sick on it.

hammsangwich - 2011-08-14

You can get Stadium Events for a 500 large right now:

Jet Bin Fever - 2011-08-14

Well gee. It's a tough choice between two or three Porsche 911s or a sealed copy of Stadium Events... I just can't decide!

Xenocide - 2011-08-15

Fun fact: Stadium Events is a terrible game.

Old_Zircon - 2011-08-15

I take issue with the implication that NES was anything less than hot shit at any period in history, including before it was invented.

Kumquatxop - 2011-08-17

I love all of you

Rosebeekee - 2011-08-14

What is an any-ez 001?

DerangedGoblin - 2011-08-14

Why do they randomly flip that guy when he's talking? Between :35 and :40 they installed a mirror and filmed it instead.

Old_Zircon - 2011-08-15

People do that to fool software that crawls Youtube for copyrighted videos and reports them, I believe.

Hooker - 2011-08-14

Mr. Goatee sure drew a wide conclusion on the basis of this one incident. Does he post here?

Ursa_minor - 2011-08-14

Goddamnit I hate that guys face.

delicatessen - 2011-08-14

There might be something to physiognomy after all.

spikestoyiu - 2011-08-14

I watch this show.

"You would."

fluffy - 2011-08-14

I doubt that this would even get .

jaunch - 2011-08-15

Yeah, seriously. A working NES might be worth up to - , but a broken one? You just throw it away.

duck&cover - 2011-08-14

Bobo like NES.

Chalkdust - 2011-08-14

stars for when the Value ticker displays "????", as it is immensely confused by the guy's statement

Caminante Nocturno - 2011-08-15

"You got no power... NINTENDO POWER!"

EvilHomer - 2011-08-15

1:00 Simon Pegg isn't having any of this bullshit.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2011-08-19

Rosebeekee - 2013-03-30

And now he's dead.

Cube - 2016-08-14

Dudes, what happened to all the 's? I bet it won't show up on my comment either. I typed DOLLAR SIGN THIRTEEN!

Oktay - 2016-09-12

Escape before dollar "\$13"
space between dollar and number "$ 13"
escaped dollar then space then number "\$ 13"

Oktay - 2016-09-12
