Die, Sony.

Parappa is nice but there just aren't enough appealing characters in this to attract people to the game.
|
Riskbreaker - 2012-06-08 Seriously, who gives a shit about Fat Princess, or some guy from the super generic FPS Killzone? Nobody.
|
Xenocide - 2012-06-08 WE MADE SURE TO INCORPORATE THE FAT PRINCESS' LOVE OF CAKE.

MacGyver Style Bomb - 2012-06-08
Along with DreamMix TV World Fighters, Jump Super Stars, Jump Ultimate Stars, Power Stone, Guilty Gear Dust Strikers...
|
Riskbreaker - 2012-06-08 Yeah but at least some of those games did bother to spice up the formula. Like Power Stone with interactive stages, this thing just looks lazy, with no creative input whatsoever.

This guy says a whole lot, but fails to ever mention that the production CLEARLY was to make a Super Smash Bros. game for a Sony console.
|
|
Xenocide - 2012-06-08 Metal Gear Solid and Metroid are cute and cartoony? News to me.
Sony is kind of underscoring how inadequate their stable of characters looks next to Nintendo's. The only really memorable one in this group is Parappa, and he hasn't had a new title in 10 years.

STABFACE - 2012-06-08
If they said "We want to rip off Smash Bros," at least the honesty would have been refreshing.
And here's a relevant Penny Arcade comic:

Lemme see...
Spyro. Lara Croft. Crash. Ughh...the Ratchet and Clank guy (guys?). PaRappa. Solid Snake (who's already been in SSB), umm...John Madden and Tiger Woods? Their games are usually good. If we can include PS3, then the God of War guy.
...no, Crazy Taxi and that trucker game was on Dreamcast...
...so was that Jet Skate game...
...and the space girl with the orange skirt, she was Dreamcast...
hmm...
That's all I got.

themilkshark - 2012-06-09 I always thought Crash Bandicoot seemed like the creation of corporate executives. He is a subtle ripoff of everything from the 90's. Tasmanian Devil and Sonic the Hedgehog had a baby, and the singer from Sugar Ray adopted it.
I wonder if this game will have Blasto or any of the characters from "Fighting Force"

This is the entire video game industry in a nut shell. So five for that.

ugh DIEEE
|
Jet Bin Fever - 2012-06-10 you see Maru, you rate videos here high if they contain evil, moneywhoring garbage, not low.
|
Maru - 2012-07-07 Noo... That's what I'd like to do, but I can't assume we're on the same page. A lot of you guys end up rating highly the things I only want to ironically rate highly, so I feel like I'm almost agreeing with you.

Video games are competing hard with movies and music to see which can be the shining beacon of a global dead culture on its way to extinction.
|
Aubrey McFate - 2012-06-08
Oh hey, a guy making a game for Sony didn't outright say that their game rips off a Nintendo game wholesale. It's almost as if this is a PR promotional video.
Having not played it, I can clearly say it's horrible and that it's the harbinger of the end of video games forever.
|
StanleyPain - 2012-06-08
This year's E3 is so painfully sad that it really deserves to be upheld as something truly special.
|
Jet Bin Fever - 2012-06-10
Stupid people will still play this, but it will eventually be forgotten.
