I don't know how to respond to these kinds of things. A few years back, I'd of found it hilarious. Now I just kind of think how much it would suck to get my kid a gift only for them to not actually be able to enjoy it when they open it. At least they're doing it with stuff that's easy to get a replacement on, I guess.
Well that seems like a reasonable price for a grossly underpowered, children's-grade laptop with an absurdly restrictive OS. no hard-drive space, and a non-replaceable battery that's designed to fail in little more than a year.
See, they have to charge you extra, for the convenience of not being allowed to upgrade your own property with more RAM or a new video card. It just makes sense.
I worked at Fry's receiving, but just for software so there was nothing fun to try and break. We just tried to get shit tagged and sorted as fast as possible so we could sit around and shoot the shit the rest of the time.
