Obnoxious idiots rejoice!

SolRo - 2014-01-18

Missing "first world problems" tag

RedRust - 2014-01-18

This is a setback for the internet troll nation.

infinite zest - 2014-01-17

Hey look at my cat he's hanging on the ceiling upside down J/K GUYS IT'S JUST HORIZON

Jet Bin Fever - 2014-01-17

I miss when video cameras were big bulky things that you had to read a manual to operate.

That guy - 2014-01-18

It's just not working for me to turn it sideways before I hit record. How about it, science?

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2014-01-18

"Whaaaa! My free entertainment is RUINED because the left and right sides are cropped! Even though I can see all the relevant parts of the video, I must complain! WHAAAAA, I say!"

Maybe cell phone makers should be encouraged to have the cameras film in widescreen when you're holding the phone in its most common operating position: Vertically. How about it, whiny consumer?

EvilHomer - 2014-01-18

Nobody likes a portrait apologist.

Nominal - 2014-01-19

Counter-complaining is worse than complaining, especially when That Guy's initial complaint went through the trouble of presenting it as a jest. He deserves more than a "waaaaah (strawman reduction)" reply. We all do.

Sexy Duck Cop - 2014-01-19

"Whaaaa (strawman reduction)" is pretty much the most obnoxious type of Internet comment.

That guy - 2014-01-19

what the fuck is happening here?

EvilHomer - 2014-01-18

I don't know; the cropping looks pretty severe, and I'm worried this could cause a frying pan/ fire scenario. I suspect that we'll be seeing lots of videos where the idiot has focused on the wrong thing, and the interesting stuff has been cropped out.

memedumpster - 2014-01-18

Stupid app for stupid people will make a quadrillion dollars a day forever, fund sixteen wars against brown people, and kill your pets for Satan, but the videos taken will still be unwatchable.

Cube - 2014-01-18

We've had Horizon ever since Ground was introduced.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2014-01-18

This needs to be integrated into the OS itself as those who are already landscape conscious will have no use for this app. Those who don't know the difference between portrait and landscape will have no inclination to buy this app. Silicon Valley. The land of useless and grossly over valued social media apps.

Grandmaster Funk - 2014-01-18

So, this app is basically a glorified digital zoom, right? Awesome. Now instead of holding your phone correctly, you can just throw away 3/4 of your resolution.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2014-01-18

Yep, GFunk. Those who dislike it when people commit the crime of vertical videos and think this app is a solution are of the same ilk that claimed letterboxed videos meant you saw "less" of a widescreen movie because of the black bars at the top and bottom of the screen.

Nominal - 2014-01-19

Man, you're on a crusade here, Kleenex. Sit down, have a coffee, post a landscape video of it on facebook.

exy - 2014-01-18

And here I was thinking this app was actually a pretty neat idea about image stabilization.
