They left out the things that most unite them:

- Contempt for those they feel are "undeserving"

- The belief they are "more deserving" than anyone else

Such attitudes know no gender, cultural or ethnic boundaries.

subduralhematoma - 2014-03-17

Are those actors so desperate for work they'll go on camera and say the words,"I'm a republican"? The casting couch has more dignity.

baleen - 2014-03-17

It's a testament to how far we've come as a country that conservatives have fully embraced immigrants and minorities if they act like they do.

Simultaneously wanting to build a giant fucking wall between Mexico and the USA while putting a Spanish-speaking guy in their recruitment videos takes a lot of fucking balls.

Cena_mark - 2014-03-17

Same old talking points out of a rainbow of faces!

Cena_mark - 2014-03-17

I may be over analyzing this commercial, but it seems to be made in a way to still not threaten their white voting base.
They start off with a young Asian woman, to a middle aged white woman, to a middle aged black woman... nothing really scary yet. OH SHIT, A YOUNG BLACK MAN! Well he sounds kinda gay, so not too scary. Moving on to old white dude, white hipster, and at :20 you have the ideal Republican... Whoa that old white dude revealed himself to be a white Latino!

Adham Nu'man - 2014-03-17

PSYCHED!

baleen - 2014-03-17

I was impressed with "Yo Soy Republicano." I doubt they'll be running this ad in a lot of mostly white swing districts.

Old_Zircon - 2014-03-18

My instinct is that this is a too-late attempt to defuse the already forgotten Super Bowl commercial controversy. It's pretty much the same ad.

infinite zest - 2014-03-17

I'm a republican
I'm a republican
I'M a republican
I'm just getting gas. What's this about?

Quad9Damage - 2014-03-18

He demanded as much pay as the other cast members, but the Republican Party refused, stating that his compensation had already been funneled into Big Oil for the gasoline. The only financially viable solution was to cut him out of the closing montage. Nice try, pinko.

Quad9Damage - 2014-03-18

The "I vote for religious freedom" guy looks like the kind of Republican who would vote on the grounds of Religious Freedom.

Quad9Damage - 2014-03-18

AND THEN THE TWIST: He wants Jesus in our schools AND our landscaping jobs! Vote for the lesser of two evils. Vote Republican.

Cena_mark - 2014-03-18

"Religious Freedom" = Christian priveledge.

oddeye - 2014-03-18

I'm a republican... not really.

Riskbreaker - 2014-03-18

"Create your own american dream! Just....please, don't include us in that dream. Thank you."

Old_Zircon - 2014-03-18

"Create your own American dream" is code for "cut funding for social services."

Old_Zircon - 2014-03-18

-"own"

chumbucket - 2014-03-18

I'M Spartacus

Binro the Heretic - 2014-03-18

I'm Spartacus!

oddeye - 2014-03-18

I'm Spasticus Autisticus

Hooker - 2014-03-18

If I were any one of those stereotypes, I would be feeling pretty insulted right about now.

Old_Zircon - 2014-03-18

If they really want to increase the number of republicans they should be lobbying for guaranteed 0k (at least) annual income subsidy for all US citizens.

Jet Bin Fever - 2014-03-19

They're copying those "I'm a Mormon" ads now. I guess Mitt Romney really did have an impact.
