Not straight to DVD; this pile has been getting posters in theaters for the last year and a half, due to the studio continually pushing the release date back. It's getting released in May, unless they delay it again.

Anyway, this is one of the most tone-deaf adaptions of anything I've ever seen. Yeah, guys, when people think "Oz" they totally think of Dorothy fighting a Joker knockoff while a fat bird stands by to provide butt jokes.

The only Oz sequel I want has wheelers and a ww1 style wind up gnome.

Scrimmjob - 2014-04-01

Damn skippy.

Damn right. Return to OZ is my favorite film adaptation of Baum's books.

If they included the Hungry Tiger, they could make him and the Cowardly Lion a gay couple. That could be fun.

oddeye - 2014-04-01

Hungry Tiger sounds like one of those power top bears or whatever slang homosexuals use and whatnot. Lion can be a bottom bitch.

I know then are both big cats, not Bears and shit, fuck y'all.

So I take it then that you've read the Oz books, cause that's a pretty accurate description of their relationship.

maybe I missed it but no scratched vinyl sound effect?

They went out of their way to get a lot of recognizable names:

Patrick Stewart, Dan Aykroyd, James Belushi...

Jet Bin Fever - 2014-04-03

They should just dig up L. Frank Baum's corpse and fuck it till gold comes out of his eye sockets.
