Scrimmjob - 2017-03-08

The next gen of this infomercial will be something like "Hey, remember when rock was a thing!"

infinite zest - 2017-03-08

I dunno, although it's got more bells and whistles, the genre hasn't really changed that much: Radiohead's basically King Crimson with more 21st century technology, new "punk" just tries to sound like it's 1977, and hip hop actually sounded way more futuristic in the 90s, like Deltron, Liquid Swords and etc. And they're playing Nirvana on the Classic Rock station right next to Aerosmith and 3 Dog Night. I dunno, if music actually continued on the path I saw it going in 1999, all modern music would just sound like Atari Teenage Riot and Chumbawumba's love child.

At least one of these songs does have a message, but it's intended only for Sloopy.

And Na Na Na Na Hey Hey was sort of adopted as a protest song, but it's not exactly Woody Guthrie I suppose..

Ooo xtra stars for the preload image, which looks either like some Jerry Lewis movie or hardcore 90s hospital porn depending..

Maggot Brain - 2017-03-08

fedex - 2017-03-08

As we all near our end, how will music be packaged for us?

infinite zest - 2017-03-08

The grandma at 0:54 singing Nine Inch Nails' Closer

Xenocide - 2017-03-08

"Remember the music of the 90's, when people had skin? Relive those days with 'NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL FLESH IX!' All your favorite artists, with none of their organs visible! Praise Cyber-Putin, the Harvester!"

Miss Henson's 6th grade class - 2017-03-08

All of these people look remarkably similar to real human beings, but they'd almost certainly fail a Voigt-Kampf.

infinite zest - 2017-03-10

I don't know what that is, but I'm picturing John Voight portraying cyborg Adolf Hitler, Mitternachts Cowbot

pastorofmuppets - 2018-01-02

Love me some novelty rock.

pastorofmuppets - 2018-01-02

Reminds me of something I read on WP recently:

"The rise of rock and roll and the decline of big bands hurt Spike Jones' repertoire. The new rock songs were already novelties, and Jones could not satirise them..."

lol

why you so stupid, rock and roll?
