5 for evil, because this sure looks like a pile

The people who watched the original Reboot are probably all in their 30’s or 40’s; but this is some Power Rangers-like Frankenstein abomination of the original. Who is this for, exactly?

Did nobody learn the lesson of VR Troopers?

Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2018-02-22

I fail to see how a show about typical, humdrum, day-to-day programming work like this could interest the general public.

Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2018-02-22

Also, they are battling megabyte??? Talk about baby stuff, yawnfest. Even in 1st year of comp-sci we were battling gigalord (using only object-orientated-byte-kernels mind you)

Watch out, everybody, the hacker's released a virus from the early 90's! I just pray that everyone at our high tech future cyberschool is running Windows 3.1 or above.

Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2018-02-23

I remember the 1st time I got virus scanning software, seemingly every machine had the 'cascade' virus. But it didnt do anything! Apparently it was meant to make the characters in DOS fall down the screen.. I thought that would have been awesome!

I should write a script for something from the 80s to late nineties, and Netflix will probably buy it.

Xenocide - 2018-02-23

Hello, is this Zack Snyder? What are your thoughts on the Street Sharks?

SolRo - 2018-02-23

I have a rough adaptation featuring CGI puppets operated by "urban"-"street smart" African-American teenagers fighting villains meant to represent drug dealers and gangs.

If Megabyte doesn't have a nose, then how does he smell?

garcet71283 - 2018-02-22

Awful!

Rosebeekee - 2018-02-22

Ages ago, when this was still in the development stage, I worked on a film with Garry Chalk (one of the voice actors from the original show) and he mentioned how he really wanted to work on this and be the voice of Megabyte, but they didn't have any interest in using the original actors. He seemed kind of sad about it. Also, he could do a really good Megabyte voice. It was as close to Tony Jay's as you could get.

Binro the Heretic - 2018-02-22

Uh...did someone mix up "Reboot" with "Code Lyoko?"

Caminante Nocturno - 2018-02-22

We might as well start bracing ourselves for the inevitable Totally Spies reboot.

Xenocide - 2018-02-23

The best thing about the original Reboot was the implication that humans were basically fickle, indifferent gods to the living programs within a computer. A human being was something none of the characters could even comprehend, so they were stuck living in a state of constant vigilance, knowing that at any moment, the mysterious, omnipotent "User" could boot up a game and they'd all be forced into a scenario where their god would kill them for his amusement. The show's opening has Bob stating that he "intends to find out" just what the User is, but in the actual show he quickly gives up on this, choosing to simply believe that the User is benevolent because, really, what choice does he have?

Anyway, in this new version the users are the main characters and they just go inside the computer and talk to the people living there. That's right, Bob, your God is a Power Ranger.

Cocaine has some explaining to do.

dairyqueenlatifah - 2018-02-23

The most amazing part of this is how the CGI is somehow worse than the original series from 1994.

This looks fucking awful and I hate it.
