Oh man punk is still alive somewhere, thank god.

I'm curious as to how the Chinese government reacts when these guys put out an album.

taschenrechner - 2008-03-29

They don't really give a shit. There are music festivals all over the place with loads of bands like this. This is such a niche genre in China that if they were to seriously crack down on it, they'd probably have a handful of folks to round up.

given Chinas population a "handful" is probably like seven million people

they know channeling rage through harmless music is better than letting it turn into actual rebellion.

This is still awesome of course.

Is that why they banned animation mixed with live actions films (i.e. Roger Rabbit) and movies with ghosts and monsters in them?

MOVIES WITH GHOSTS AND MONSTERS. I'm sure loud, anti-government music is on their hitlist. These poor kids will end up in prison eventually.

I am waiting for the Tibetian throat singing cover.

Fuck yeah. This is why punk rock should never die.

Five stars 'cause it's such a gosh-darn catchy tune. This is one I can hum in the subway.

Awesome. I just hope they don't end up having their organs harvested.
