I ate at least two Kenner Stretch toys (one Armstrong, one Monster) as a kid.

I liked Wacky Wall Walkers only slightly more. The "toys that stick to the wall or stretch" thing seems not to have survived video games.

The red gel within was corn syrup based, and therefore sweet. Mmmm.

Was it ever. Forgive the self-linking: http://retrocrush.buzznet.com/archive2/stretch/

Freak. All I ever did was chew the face off of my brother's Skeletor.

Thoroughly enjoyed your self-link.

A friend and I managed to tear the arms off Stretch Armstrong. We were quite proud.

Did anyone actually have an unbroken one after the first day?

I had the Stretch X-Ray, which had a clear body and a plastic piece inside made to look like colored guts.

Yes, he was also filled with syrup but clear like plain corn syrup not colored

I guess I never realized that Stretch Armstrong was a hero, and so needed an enemy. I suppose he got a pretty good one, all things considered.
