The Internet ruins yet another video game by demanding to be involved.

They insist it's not about preventing piracy, but about multiplayer...which is just as bad, in my book.

Are other players going to be able to fuck up my shit? Am I going to have to deal with a lot of ass-hat fourteen-year-olds who spend all day polishing their skills forcing my carefully crafted toy city into bankruptcy or ruin?

I'd guess it will involve some sort of active resource trading market, like there is in CitiesXL.

But it's EA, they can fuck up any franchise instantly.

video gaming has been in a bad state for some years and it's hard to see how or when it ends

I read that Blizzard in South Korea got a bunch of their paperwork confiscated by the Fair Trade Commission over their "no refunds for Koreans" policy.

It's not all bad. There's still companies out there like CD Projekt that make an amazing game (The Witcher 2), don't stuff it full of DRM, make it better over a year, then give every improvement they made away for free if you bought the original edition.

I know it's not going to happen, but I'm still going to be hopefully companies like Blizzard (a former favorite), EA, and Activision just plain fuck off.

I've got a Katy Perry expansion.
