Well if a real mountain man approves it's just gotta be good.

TeenerTot - 2012-07-13

I think the giveaway is they show it served over ice. Like Kool Aid.

MrBuddy - 2012-07-13

I thought that's basically what Boone's Farm is, prespiked Kool-Aid

Dear Youtube,
Whatever programmer wrote the voice recognition software for your transcribed caption feature, they deserve a big raise. Please, never change it, never improve it. Leave it just the way it is.

My God. This fucking betatest zombie feature actually produces art.

I honestly think they made that system to double the average culture content of YouTube videos. It's sad that it successfully does this seemingly at random. That any misquote of most videos is automatically an improvement.

So many gems in this article;

Free Association:

Chapter 25 of THE GRAPES OF WRATH describes the production of cheap wine, and then turns to the big picture:

And the great owners, who must lose their land in an upheaval, the great owners with access to history, with eyes to read history and to know the great fact: when property accumulates in too few hands it is taken away. And that companion fact: when a majority of the people are hungry and cold they will take by force what they need. And the little screaming fact that sounds through all history: repression works only to strengthen and knit the repressed. The great owners ignored the three cries of history. The land fell into fewer hands, the number of dispossessed increased, and every effort of the great owners was directed at repression.

Men who have created new fruits in the world cannot create a system whereby their fruits may be eaten. And the failure hangs over the State like a great sorrow. ...and in the eyes of the people there is the failure; and in the eyes of the hungry there is a growing wrath. In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage.

Though from my experiences and observations Boone's Farm isn't so much a "bum wine" as it is a "house party full of young people where somebody ends up drinking too much and pukes in an acquarium inhabited by delicate tropical fish" wine or "lame workplace party" wine

Old_Zircon - 2012-07-13

Carlo Rossi ( a gallon) filled that niche when I was in school.

Ahh, memories.

Franzia!

big pincers - 2012-07-15

I get the feeling that there was a lot of untamed, wild mountain taste going around by the end of that party, if you catch my drift. *eyebrows*

The Mothership - 2014-11-10

Boone's farm was nowhere near as bad as Thunderbird.
