I remember, even as a 12 year old, thinking WTF when watching this.

For some reason, all I remember is "shit happens"

Also, we need a TMNT ripoff week.

As kids, my sister, my cousins, and I, thought this movie looked like absolute crap and never had any desire to watch it. Now that I'm an adult, ironically, my morbid curiosity makes me want to watch it.

This is yet another example of the pure shit that excellent Hong Kong filmmakers had to get involved in to stay in the film industry after the big migration away from China in the late 90s (due to the Hong Kong takeover). Ronnie Yu has made some great Chinese films....his American cinema consists of this and Bride of Chucky. Once HK's cinema opened up again his first film back was the excellent Fearless with Jet Li. But yeah it's amazing how many great Chinese filmmakers had to basically make crap for a few years in attempt to "break into" American cinema. (Tsui Hark had Double Trouble, John Woo did Hard Target and Broken Arrow, etc.)

I thought th Barbarian Brothers directed Double Trouble.

Sweet Jesus this is horrible. No matter where I put my cursor on that bar, the scene on the screen is dreary and lifeless.

Old_Zircon - 2013-02-10

In the interest of full disclosure and TMI, I should let you know that this movie has gotten me laid before. So don't write it off prematurely.

memedumpster - 2013-02-11

I stuck to sane movies for that, like the Hitcher and Mother's Day.

I remember my little brother got a bunch of Warriors of Virtue action figures right after the movie came out, and they were pretty sweet toys. We had way more fun playing with them than watching the film. So thanks Warriors of Virtue for bonding time with my brother, I guess.

I knew some furries who unironically LOVED this movie.

Old_Zircon - 2013-02-11

I'm not surprised at all.

cognitivedissonance - 2013-02-11

This was planned to be a whole fundamentalist response to the "satanic" TMNT empire, starting with a bunch of storybooks that were going to teach lessons in morality and the "whole armor of God", et cetera. Then the Hollywood happened.

02:16-03:14 may be over the maximum safe levels of kung fu in a kitchen.
