I really need to see this shitty movie again. The last time I did it was in the theater with my mom. I wiped it from my memory entirely.

EvilHomer - 2013-09-09

Same here! Saw it in theaters, immediately repressed it. The only thing I remember is that I spent most of the movie trying to imagine what an NES licensed tie-in game would be like, and gave up when I got to the twentieth top-down driving level.

But every clip I've seen in recent years looks awesome, so I'm thinking I should watch it again. Maybe kid-me was just stupid?

Dr Robot - 2013-09-09

Five because this is from the awesome first two acts of the movie. The last act is where it all falls apart and the producers changed Shane Black's otherwise dark ending.

So when you guys watch it again, be aware of that.

I didn't like the ending to the film, but this movie holds up pretty well.

Dr Robot - 2013-09-09

Back in the days of Web 1.0, I read the original script (or what was claimed to be) and the ending was so much better than what made it to film. It would be among PoE's favorite movies ever had they not pussed out and stuck with not letting the good guys win.

lotsmoreorcs - 2013-09-09

what was the original ending?

oddeye - 2014-05-25

Yeah it's a good movie that drags on a bit too long once they go back to the real world.

Charles Dance can't get a tag? No respect....

Binro the Heretic - 2013-09-09

all my stars are for the Rottweiler pyramid.

freedoom - 2013-09-09

This and The Golden Child are his two most memorable rolls from my childhood.

Binro the Heretic - 2013-09-09

I think if they had gotten ANYONE other than Eddie Murphy, that would have been a great movie.

giygusattack - 2013-09-09

The ending " . . . cause in this world the bad guys can win." was a fun thing to post after the Red Wedding scene.

This movie was pretty much the official death certificate of 80s action movies.

Fun fact! John McTiernan is serving jail time right now!
