Bill Maher makes me think I'm wrong believing in American liberalism.

He's right about the almond milk.
Ever try the unsweetened stuff? Tastes bitter as fuck.

Mill Maher needs to shut the fuck up. He makes me ashamed to be technically on the same end of the political spectrum.
|
Nominal - 2013-09-29 Buying into the idea of a binary spectrum in the first place is a bad idea.

When conservative pundits talk about 'smug liberals', they have a picture in their heads of exactly this.
|
SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-09-29 And yet even Maher only generates about .35 Hannitys of smugness. The host of "Newsbusted" is a smugness singularity from which not even a laugh track can escape.

|
Caminante Nocturno - 2013-09-29 Liberals are supposed to have laughably unrealistic standards and then refuse to vote when they're not met.
|
SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-09-29 If conservatives could actually feel shame over what they've done, they'd kill themselves. It and the lack of empathy is probably a defense mechanism for self(ish)-preservation.

Maher's comedy is hit or miss, but his show has great guests and interesting ideas. If there was no Stephen Colbert, he'd be indispensable.
And even Colbert doesn't feature such long stretches of uninterrupted intelligent talk.
