Apparently it's not meant to be possible, but there's a glitch you can exploit. It only works if the pipe is on a certain part of the screen. Anyplace else and it sends you to a coin room like it's meant to.

Yeah, that glitch is used by most speedruns these days, because it's faster than breaking the blocks to the vine.

I hate to be that guy, but this was pretty boring to watch. I'm usually into all kinds of time attack videos but this was just grab no coins and patiently wait for enemies to walk by instead of killing them.
