According to Scott Shaw's old site, because of some quirk of California state law, they were denied a license to purchase blank ammo and had to use real bullets (which were and probably still are less strictly controlled for some reason) for all of the gunfights, including the ones featuring machine guns.

Also, according to Donald G. Jackson (RIP), the deliberate use of different film/video stocks for different parts of the narrative was so expensive and inconvenient he decided to never shoot on film again after this (as far as I know all of the 15 or 20 movies he did before this were 100% film, although it was often expired film).

Oh, and I'm pretty sure that's some Sun City Girls during the bow fight with El Chupacabra at the end, too.

By "pretty sure" I mean it definitely is, but I can't remember what album it's on.

I only have Torch of the Mystics, and it's not from that album.. great band tho!

I don't have that, records are like 0+ now. Got a lot of them before the prices went through the roof, though.

I really like this one:

Not to get too off topic, but do you like Malaikat Dan Singa?

Old_Zircon - 2014-04-06
YES, although I only have their first two LPs and the old solo Arrington de Dionyso LP. They have at least a third one out now, right?

Also, Arrington is the only musician I've ever met in my entire life (I'd estimate I've played around 225 shows at this point, plus the ones I've just gone to see) who was completely cool with selling me buying merch with a check. So points for that, too.
