None of the characters appealed to me and the writing was pretty terrible. And what used to be funny was traded in for uncomfortable "funny" characters like The Godfather. I dunno.. I just sort of stopped caring.

Could be. And the thing is, there was a lot of talent there: HHH, Val Venis, Stone Cold, Mankind, The Undertaker, etc. but they were given incredibly inane story arcs, and the "Rodeo Clowns" were filled with the kind of humor that would appeal mainly to Juggalos. Basically I missed my old WWF. The "Attitude" years just stripped all the fun away, for me anyway. If it got better and more fun then I'm sad that I missed out, but if this guy's any indication, I stick by original assertion.

What's wrong with Stone Cold's arc? Stone Cold's story arc was he drank beer and he didn't take no shit from Vince - that was awesome! Mankind's story was pretty interesting, especially when he got fixated on Socko, and while The American Badass was an awful gimmick, The Taker had his peak years as the Lord of Darkness. He sacrificed Stephanie McMahon to Satan, for chrissake! How could anybody not love that?

If you're into cheesy wrestling, and some people are, then you might actually enjoy the PG Era and Mr Reigns! There's not quite so many flamboyant gimmicks as there were during the Hogan Era, but wrestlers today eat their vegetables and there's nary a Juggalo nor a titillatingly sexist panty shot to be found.

Oh, no. It got much worse after that, but the sort of thing in this video is a return to the childlike crap of Hogan's milk and vitamins era and away from the childish era of stuff like Val Venis.

Reigns isn't all vitamins and prayers. He says "bitch" sometimes. Sad he's being shoved down the fans' throats while the other two members of the Shield got over much more organically.
