don't drop Michelle Pfeiffer out of a building on this island.
Lord_Crocodilicus - 2015-02-16
SunRa, the status quo tells me I should hate you, but for one brief moment I laughed at your shit joke and that made everything perfect in my life. I love you. You complete the shit part of me.

I lived in an apartment complex with at least 50 cats. We used to joke that the cats owned the building and not our jerk of a landlord.

Hell on fucking Earth.

You just know the whole place smells like ammonia and bad seafood.
RedHood - 2015-02-16
Imagine the smell.
EvilHomer - 2015-02-16
Cats smell.
Oscar Wildcat - 2015-02-16
Of course they do, EH, they have _noses_.

You, on the other hand, stink.

EvilHomer - 2015-02-16
Secondary sense of the verb, Mr Wildcat. However, it's true that they also engage in the primary sense of the verb, which sucks for them, because they smell so fucking bad.

The only time a dog stinks is when it rolls in something. But cats? Cat-stank is just the inherent state of being for those foul little animals.

EvilHomer - 2015-02-16
What's even worse is that cats don't really do anything, besides puke on tables and slash the occasional young girl's eyes out. If cats were working hard all day long, like a dog might, then yeah, OK, maybe it might make sense that they'd smell a little bit rank now and then. But no! Cats are simply fat lazy slobs; nature's fedora-hobos, reeking of piss and sanctimony.

P.S. I do not like cats.

Oscar Wildcat - 2015-02-16
Ah yes, my neighbor was out there all summer building a big fence around his front yard. I asked him why, and he told me his two little dogs would rush the door and race over to the far neighbors pasture to roll around in the cow shit. He'd then have to hose them off, a big job because they're hard to pin down and covered with shit. Then they're run out and do it all over again. Hence the fence.

Oscar Wildcat - 2015-02-16
What they do here is supress the mole and field mouse populations. The current guy is like Godzilla, and is polydactyl to boot. The house has been fieldmouse free all winter. The ornamentals and vegetables remain free of harrasment. Both those problems are virtually impossible to solve here without them.

But as you say though, Evil Homer, cats don't love you. They love me.

Cena_mark - 2015-02-16
All dogs do is sniff people's crotches. I don't get where you get the idea that dogs are hard workers, unless its Winona.

EvilHomer - 2015-02-16
See, Cena, it's hard to take you seriously when you already know that AJ is a dog pony, not a cat pony.

You and Oscar, you're Rarities. Think about that.

Cena_mark - 2015-02-16
Damn Homer. Mind blown right there.

EvilHomer - 2015-02-16
Damn straight, and don't you forget it. Even Owlowiscious is cooler than a dumb cat like Opalescence.

Cena_mark - 2015-02-16
Opal is a terrible cat, but she doesn't speak for all cats. Its just a spoiled cat with a terrible owner. Its like how Angel Bunny doesn't represent all rabbits, but as we know is the worst pet in all of Equestria.

EvilHomer - 2015-02-17
You're right, Opal does not speak for all cats; she's actually one of the BETTER cats. Most cats are roughly as lame as Garfield; that is the baseline, and cats are evenly distributed both above and below Garfield level.

To make a callback to another frontpage video, I'd like to say that cats are a great example of what Stephen Jay Gould was talking about in his lecture - the inherent anti-progressivism of evolution. Cat's aren't a perfectly accurate demonstration of this principle, mind you (a creature as worthless as a cat required extensive human-directed selective breeding, and would never have arisen through blind evolution alone) but they are close enough.

No just or benevolent god would have created these horrid things.

Oscar Wildcat - 2015-02-17
Homer: You speak of cats in precisely the same way MGTOW's speak of women. I suggest this is not just accidental.

"Tashirojima" is a Japanese word meaning, "The Dethklok Home for Wayward Kitties."
Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2015-02-16
I've just inferred that 'jima' means 'island'.
Apparently 'Iwo Jima' means 'sulphur island'

Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2015-02-16
In Japan, "Tashiro" is a slang word. Tashiro refers to acts of peeping and taking sneak shots. Origin of the term derives from Masashi Tashiro, a famous celebrity who was prosecuted for filming up a woman's skirt in addition to later being arrested for peeping through the bathroom window of a man's house.
So 'Tashirojima' means 'peeping tom island' ?

Oscar Wildcat - 2015-02-16
More like "peeing tomcat island"

5 stars for tail-less kitty at the end. You're too good for them anyway. And bless you.
BHWW - 2015-02-16
And in one of those Shotaro Ishinomori buildings there's probably cat that can transform into a superpowered cyborg cat and it's ready to start fighting villainous feline organizations that keep sending themed monsters after it any day now.

Is the Inland sea just filled with these places? Cat Island, Bunny Island, Fox Island....
Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2015-02-16
That reminded me theres an Island off the coast of Ireland with wallabies on it! I shit you not.

http://www.irishcentral.com/culture/travel/Wild-wallabies-wand er-deserted-Irish-island.html

Seems to be a result of weird human-caused situations like this being able to perpetuate without interference on islands.
