you know, someone would probably argue that this is all pop-cultural criticism does; it makes up provocative yet plausible scenarios that can't be refuted in one piece of art. much like in the seemingly endless stream of crappy fan theories these days.
sometimes however you just know for certain that even if a theory is made up BS, it still shows someone put more thought into a theory than the creators of what is being critiqued ever did.
