Pili itself looks kinda neat, its been on for 30 years and basically is a giant wuxia soap opera...with puppets. Actually really well produced from what I saw.

Fascinating story on how this was fucked up. Interesting note, "Scar" (the smart mouthed, wise cracking one) is a deaf mute in the real series.

Wuixia is a great setting, and one I wish would see more popularity in the west.

Back when I saw this though, I knew nothing about it I was... VERY... confused.

I love how the Wikipedia article is a complete mess, grammatically broken with fucked up citations, and has been that way for years. No one cares.

I remember seeing this show on Toonami once and being completely baffled by it. Then I never saw it again and couldn't decide if it was real or just some fever dream until I saw something online about it years later.
