BHWW - 2017-10-28
Based on a story by Robert Bloch. The ending is a bit different.
"Irma giggled once more, raising the figure as she spoke. "Why, it's only—candy!""

B. Weed - 2017-10-28 Yeah, it would've been something if they'd kept that ending.

B. Weed - 2017-10-28 Yeah, I know Bloch had worked with Amicus Studios (maker of this film; Bloch joked that Amicus was apparently Latin for "no budget"). I wonder if the change was made because candies like those weren't in the UK? (Though to be honest, the only wax candies I remember as a kid were wax lips and Nick-L-Nips, which were wax bottles filled with sugary syrup.)

Isn’t it true that no blood drips from the house at all in this movie?
|
cognitivedissonance - 2017-10-28 There is no blood dripping in any way in this movie, BUT it has Jon Pertwee playing a role Vincent Price turned down because the idea of vampirism transferring by simply putting on a vampire's cape was "silly".
