Brave words from the shill who’s been gagging on that same toadstool all year long

After I submitted this, I aged myself a year by watching the whole hour-long slog. Hoo boy. There's a whole lot of "good" stuff that didn't make this cut.

While CW nods along with a bit of the crazy, and professes some "ordinary" conservative opinions along the way, I think he's really just giving Trump a chance to bury himself under crazy statements. When they cut to the 2-shots, you see him doing this sort of kooky stare at Trump, which I interpret as being just the most passive pla-doh expression possible, so that Trump will just bloviate without noticing any kind of reaction.

Anyway, the long version made me respect CW a little more. It was an almost Sacha Baron-Cohen level performance. But of course, these kinds of interviews should be the fucking norm, not what we finally get after the country has already taken a swan dive off of the highest bridge it could find.

This isnt Sixty Minutes. We'd all love to see Trump squirm or melt down, but Wallace's job here is to get him talking about the tough questions, and he seems to be doing a masterful job from these four minutes.
