Good advice at any natural area. If you’re not going to kill yourself going off trail you’re probably going to damage the wildlife.

At various national parks, like Grand Canyon, or anything with cliffs, it is actually necessary to tell people not to go too near the cliffs on any of the trails. There are lots of scenic areas where people have fallen to their deaths trying just to get a goofy or awesome photo.

They referenced it in an episode of that show Upload that Amazon did. The kid in the virtual afterlife died that way, but I've been told by rangers that they've actually seen people fall to their deaths. It's fucking crazy the ways people can die in the wilderness, even if it's a national park. People have also gotten lost in Yosemite and wandered to their death, fallen down an escarpment they didn't see.

There was one dude in 2010 who was randomly attacked by a mountain goat, which trammeled him to death.

But where did the goat get the trammel? I bet it was fucking socialism.

I meant trampled.

It was some dude near Seattle so my guess it was the hippy smell that attracted the goat.
