Boomers also deserve to retire in obscene wealth on the backs of our labor and rent

I'm gonna inherit a shit ton from my boomer parents. I'm poor now because of them and their generation, but after they die, I'm RICH BIATCH!

No other generation was handed so much, and not only gave back so little, but were so dead set on burning the ladder behind them.

"Sure, I could have grabbed a local factory job capable of supporting a family of 4 right out of high school, I decided to buckle up and spend the $3000 to get a college degree! ANY degree! Doesn't matter, as long as you go to college!

So I got my degree, and answered a newspaper ad in the classified section. At the interview, I told them I had no experience and my degree was in a totally different field, but they said, 'That's okay! You went to COLLEGE! Plus we'll train you!' So I got the job and they paid for extra training so I could get a better position in the company because they know long term investment in workers is a smart idea. After 3 years of that, I was able to buy a house for $30k!

Fast forward 30 years, and my biggest worry is which mutual funds to invest all my diversified nest eggs in, or just go with purchasing another property to rent out? Because I don't want to have to rely solely on my pension AND 401k AND social security to fund that round the world 2nd honeymoon we're going to take as soon as we retire. That's on top of our 2 cruises a year.

And here you young people are, not having any pocket money because you're turning down all these great jobs just because they don't have free avocado toast in the break room!"

I don't accept the blame, but I get the resentment. I'm fully aware that I was born at a lucky time, and blaming boomers as a group for the way the world is, while fallacious, makes more sense than blaming younger generations.
