Still not clear on why they did this. I think it was because a local businessman was angry because they posted his DUI arrest? Why would the cops care about that, though>

You're joking, right? They did this because they are cops. They always actively choose do to the worst thing possible, because they are, by definition, violent bullies empowered with the full force of the state.
