Not many people remember that in 1994, one of the models on The Price is Right, Dian Parkinson, accused Bob of coercing her into oral sex backstage. Fellow model Janice Pennington defended Bob, and in an interview, he seemed hurt and confused, but also very forthcoming. At the time, I thought Bob was innocent and being railroaded, but back then, I was not the evolved feminist I fancied myself to be. I might see things differently today.

As I recall, Ms. Parkinson's lawsuit went nowhere. If she was trying to force Bob to settle to avoid a huge protracted tabloid scandal, that plan was preempted by the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson, which happened just as the Barker scandal was starting to break, and took over the tabloids for three years.
