Oh Israel lied about its crimes against humanity, what a shocking new development

SolRo - 2023-10-22

Additionally;

“Palestinians say they have received new warnings from Israel's military to move from north Gaza to the south, Reuters reported, with the added warning they may be identified as sympathizers with a "terrorist organization" if they stay put.”

Israel is now publicly admitting it will murder all civilians in north Gaza in its ethnic cleansing campaign

simon666 - 2023-10-22

Why are people on this site so quick to be like ISRAEL USED PROPAGANDA and not in the same breath also say HAMAS USED PROPAGANDA?

The first reports in the international news media were views directly from Hamas, a party with an explicit special interest in the portrayal of the hospital bombing.

If you don't think the language of "genocide" to describe IDF operations directed towards Palestine as a particular kind of propaganda strategy, I'm not sure you're not experiencing some kind of confirmation bias.

Binro the Heretic - 2023-10-22

"Genocide" may be too strong a term, but how is this not an ethnic cleansing on the part of Israel?

ashtar. - 2023-10-22

I'm not sure how assuming that this bomb came from the same place as all the other bombs being dropped on Gaza is "propaganda". You might also be confusing "Hamas" with "sheltering civilians," "journalists," and "medical staff." The IDF seems to have a similar problem of distinguishing between the two.

The use of "Genocide" is because the IDF's actions meet the definition.

glasseye - 2023-10-22

Israel is absolutely committing genocide against the Palestinian people.

Of courses Hamas uses propaganda too. All groups and governments do. This does not change the literal war crimes that Israel has been committing for decades.

exy - 2023-10-22

Respectfully, this video is not about whether Israel used propaganda. It's about whether they used a missile.

I don't know anything about Earshot, the company that performed the acoustic analysis, or their biases. But if their analysis can be trusted, it strikes me as pretty damning evidence, especially with the crater's shape serving as corroboration.

Admittedly, I'm biased, as I've considered Israel to be an evil state for a long time. That its big evil poppa, USA, supports them, doesn't carry much weight for me.

exy - 2023-10-22

Also, this is indeed textbook genocide.

SolRo - 2023-10-22

International Criminal Court;

First, the crime of genocide is characterised by the specific intent to destroy in whole or in part a national, ethnic, racial or religious group by killing its members or by other means: causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; or forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2023-10-22

Is it genocide? Or is it the GOOD kind of hospital bombing?

Spike Jonez - 2023-10-23

Jesus fucking Christ, it's genocide by any reasonable definition of the word. Stop sucking down propaganda

Nominal - 2023-10-22

Hamas painted the hospital with thermite paint and blew it up as part of a controlled demolition with missile holograms.

casualcollapse - 2023-10-22

Simillion you were saying ...... ok so you have incorrect opinions, do you apologize or double down

Simillion - 2023-10-22

I trust the associated press who published this. Go ahead and read it because I'm pretty sure that time will be able to confirm who was responsible for this incident. The ones quickest to place and assign blame would of course be the lunatics who believe Israel is committing genocide. If they wanted to do that, they could, but they are not. The IDF is trying to rout Hamas, and Hamas is continuing to put Palestinian lives in danger in their assault because of motivations to spark a larger conflict among other reasons. The hospital explosion was a convenient chance to try to inflict more blame on the IDF. Hamas would of course snap on the opportunity. You can read more below from the AP

Crackersmack - 2023-10-22

yes let's trust the AP, which regularly uses passive language to whitewash Israeli state violence

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2023-10-22

>>>The hospital explosion was a convenient chance to try to inflict more blame on the IDF.

>>>Hamas would of course snap on the opportunity.

Sweet Baby Jesus, wouldn't you? They blew up A HOSPITAL. How much spinning do you think it's going to take to make Israel look bad after they BLOW UP A HOSPITAL?

If you're suggesting that Hamas tricked Israel into blowing up a hospital, I'd say we're well past the point of "FOOL ME ONCE,SHAME ON YOU."

Simillion - 2023-10-22

but the "They" in the "who blew up the hospital" is probably not the IDF. It's Hamas directly, a la the AP story I linked above. You not capable of reading?

Crackersmack - 2023-10-23

bro are you not capable of watching the video that you are commenting on? I don't trust the AP and neither should anybody else. they have taken a side in this conflict long ago

glasseye - 2023-10-23

"The ones quickest to place and assign blame would of course be the lunatics who believe Israel is committing genocide. If they wanted to do that, they could, but they are not. "

Go fuck yourself, genocide denier.

Killing civilians, especially children, is bad.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2023-10-23

>>>but the "They" in the "who blew up the hospital" is probably not the IDF. It's both Hamas directly, a la the AP story I linked above. You not capable of reading?

I am not capable of caring about broken links posted by people who don't go to tinyurl.com

I'm going to assume that this was a horrible blunder, and that means, if both sides have nissles, it could be anyone. Most likely, it's whoever has more missles, and it was a snafu, No matter who is responsible, expect indignant pontificating denials from both sides.

ashtar. - 2023-10-23

"The IDF is trying to rout Hamas"

Nah, man. They're trying to push 2 million arabs into Egypt so they can have a racially pure ethnostate. You don't need to shut off food, water, and power to go after terrorists. You don't need to level half the homes in Gaza.

It's just war crime after war crime performed right out in the open. People talk a lot about anti-semitism but holy fuck do you have to be another level of anti-arab racism to justify this.

Simillion - 2023-10-23

We have a problem here which is that this video doesn't address any of the points raised in my AP article and vice versa for the points raised here. Basically the two analyses are independent and draw different conclusions without countering the evidence from the other side meaning there is no way to really test them against each other. Moreover all you guys posted in counter to the AP amounts to an ad hominem against the AP which is a usual tactic you all use. I am unsure how to say this but it is pretty clear that it is too soon to draw definitive conclusions, though it kind of mystifies me why you all seem completely sure that there is such an obvious cause and conclusion here; it would reassure me if healthy skepticism was held for both Hamas and the IDF,which is what I am trying to emphasize here (but you guys always go ahead to escalate my desire to point out both sides/perspectives with a hysterical GENOCIDE DENIER comment.)

ashtar. - 2023-10-23

You are correct that the evidence is inconclusive at this time. It is possible it was a failed rocket. It's possible it was an Israeli drone strike or artillery shell. I don't think we'll know definitively for some time.

There are other war crimes that are publicly admitted to.

ashtar. - 2023-10-23

Also, I do want to reiterate that assuming the bomb blast in the area being bombed by Israel was not unreasonable, and this assumption was largely coming from civilians and medical staff on scene, not primarily/initially Hamas.

ashtar. - 2023-10-24

It should also be noted that the IDF shot Shireen Abu Akleh and then claimed she was killed by Palestinians. The IDF also claimed that there was crossfire in the area, which was false. They distributed a video purporting to show a Palestinian gunman shooting indiscriminately in her area; this was later determined to be from a different location. It was just a cold blooded killing. No effort was made to identify the soldier who killed her, or hold them accountable.

https://x.com/btselem/status/1524346246743396355?s=20

They also claimed that Palestinians shot Muhammad al-Durrah, or that it was staged by Palestinians.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killing_of_Muhammad_al-Durrah

Nothing the IDF or Israeli government says is reliable. They have already put out two demonstrably fake (the video from 40 minutes after the attack and the edited audio) pieces of "evidence" about this.

ashtar. - 2023-10-25

Three false pieces of evidence. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/10/24/world/middleeast/gaza-hospital- israel-hamas-video.html

Maggot Brain - 2023-10-22

Israel said they were going to bomb hospitals and they did.

SolRo - 2023-10-23

“Two activists from a Jewish-Arab peace movement were recently detained in Israel for putting up posters with a message that police deemed to be offensive. The message was: “Jews and Arabs, we will get through this together”. The activists, members of Standing Together, had their posters confiscated, as well as T-shirts printed with peace slogans in Hebrew and Arabic.
