It really just needs to be the first :15 or so, and then cut straight to the horrifying dancing.
I was at this and it was fucking amazing. G4, Fark TV, and "Turner Media" were all filming it, and I expect each one to provide a compelling and nuanced account of the evening.

boba. - 2007-10-02 were you the fox in the daisy dukes?
|
Dr Dim - 2007-10-02 The furries lost, right?
|
Hooper_X - 2007-10-02 Thankfully, no. That thing had a weird sculpted six-pack, but it was mounted somewhere around the solar plexus, so it was kind of creepy.
You know, more so than usual. I can't help but wonder if the ones who are wearing pants aren't... you know... correct. Eesh.
|
boba. - 2007-10-02 I definitely agree that suggestive clothes on a fursuit are much more scary than no clothes

Stopheles - 2007-10-01
Beaten by ten seconds!!

Smellvin - 2007-10-01
5'd for "pets and animals" category.
|
Screwtape - 2007-10-01
This is what happens when the internet is allowed into the real world.

kiint - 2007-10-01
a heaping helping of sad served up in a misery bowl

8-year-olds, Dude.

"....dude, get your ass in to work....... I know its your day off.... just get in here... now... right now.... you wont believe this..."
|
Hooper_X - 2007-10-01 None of the videos got it, but there was a group of about eight fratboys from Georgia Tech who showed up halfway through, unawares of what was going on. Their conversation was priceless.
"Some of those guys are Star Wars dudes or whatever, and the rest... they pretend to be animal people!"
|
DrVital - 2007-10-01
-2 for dearth of Klingons
+1 for dancing

boringperson - 2007-10-01
Wayward bowling ball at -1:10

Repomancer - 2007-10-01
The fat furry in black with the ears and tail that's on first is the best. He radiates . . . something.

DMKA - 2007-10-01
+5 for the luxury that is the internet. I can cringe while watching the eternal sadness without having to experience the smell.
|
Aubrey McFate - 2007-10-01
Fatgoth Foxears isn't nearly as sad and cringeworthy as the full-body fursuit jean shorts guy. Just...the play-acting he does at all times...you can just tell there's a dude filled with issues and soaked in sadness and nerdjizz in there.
+5 for making Trekkies seem well-adjusted and sane. Also for the dancing. Dear lord the dancing.

Cap'n Profan!ty - 2007-10-01
jesus holy hell, that was....i just don't know

Adramelech - 2007-10-01
Pretty much the stuff of legends and should be seen by everyone. It's the kind of event/video that explains very quickly what would normally take years of psychology courses and behavioural studies.
|
Hooker - 2007-10-01
Where are the building-demolishing terrorists when you need them? Not only could you have wiped out a load of Trekkies and furries simultaneously, but Hooper was also there, apparently.

Man Who Fights Like Woman - 2007-10-01
I wanted to go watch them first-hand and post pictures on PoE-N, but couldn't get a friend to go with me. That's a lot of crazy to subject oneself to alone.
|
Hooper_X - 2007-10-01 You wouldn't have been alone; there were about a dozen unaffiliated gawker types there, drinking beer, taking pictures, and generally being amazed.
|
Albuquerque Halsey - 2007-10-01
Which all leads to next year's event being aboot...three to five times larger?
|
Hooper_X - 2007-10-01 Assuming it actually happens - somehow I don't think these guys have the best organizational skills.
|
Smellvin - 2007-10-01 A Starfleet officer has amazing organizational skills. You defame the entire Federation with that suggestion.
|
Albuquerque Halsey - 2007-10-01
Just checked the official lj thread, other geek groups are contacting them to do bowl-offs for charity.
|
EvilHomer - 2007-10-02
Wow. Just... wow.
One question: what did the Furries who love Star Trek do? Just dance and not bowl?
|
glasseye - 2007-10-02
Wow, just wow. So much patheticness in one place! Judging by the slack-jawed expression FurGoth McFatty, it's amazing these poor excuses for humans can navigate their way to the toilet, much less a bowling alley.
|
waxeater - 2007-10-02
Sometimes I feel like I need to apologize for being human.

The last few seconds: "Hey, normal, where's your big gay animal head? We don't ken to your kind 'round these parts."
|
UnderANeonHalo - 2008-10-18
I just realized that when I first found out that I have a furry bowling league near where I live, I got so excited about seeing real fur suiters failing at sports that I forgot to rate this. 5ed!
|
tamago - 2008-10-28
The guy in the white shirt gives less of a fuck about dignity than any furry there seeing as he had no qualms about dancing with a bunch of furries with no mask on to hide his identity.
