That was exceedingly uncomfortable in more ways than I care to detail.

You can see why their tourism industry is booming.

Better the lake eat them than the president, I always say.

So do you continue buying Ugandan salt and subject these poor people to this industry, or do you stop buying Ugandan salt, and force these people to seek out their livelihood elsewhere?

Or, for that matter, do you even care if the salt you're buying comes from Uganda or not?

I wonder what their scrotal sacks look like

These people are the salt of the earth, and even with this lake of tears presents them from preserving their good health.

This is right up there with Darwin's Nightmare, which is another excellent documentary about an African lake and dangerous living conditions.

Also, I remember when National Geographic documentaries were mostly happy travelogues or about nature. :(

Holy Christ, that's horrifying. The 50 cent hat at 00:50 was an entertaining bit of cognitive dissonance though.
