Daniel Radcliffe has some solid stalking skills.

ihounokyaku - 2009-07-20

Yeah, had he not found success as an actor, he would have made a great lurker.

facek - 2009-07-20

She's praying for rape, and he cruelly does not oblige, the perfect rape.

THA SUGAH RAIN - 2009-07-20

Can someone explain the ubiquitous Asian picture-in-picture thing?

Aelric - 2009-07-20

Apparently they like to see their tv hosts facial reactions to things. I thinks it's so they know how to feel. How to feel anything.

ihounokyaku - 2009-07-20

Japanese TV has real obsession with famous people reacting to things.

baleen - 2009-07-20

I think it's really just a Japanese difference in culture. They get happy seeing each other happy at the same things, whereas here in the West when we look over at somebody having too much of a good time it feels all awkward.

Screwtape - 2009-07-20

Asian equivalent to a laugh track.

Jet Bin Fever - 2009-07-20

They want to know when it's socially acceptable to react to something. Laughing in public is usually frowned upon, so by seeing it in the corner you have an excuse through imitation. It's one of the more interesting aspects of that culture.

Hooker - 2009-07-20

Japanese watch television in public?

Jet Bin Fever - 2009-07-20

Well, in front of other people I should say. I saw Pirates of the Caribbean in the theater when I was in Japan and laughed at jokes and things (this was the good one) and everyone else didn't react at all. It was a little bizarre and I felt out of place guffawing like a big imperialist.

Riskbreaker - 2009-07-20

Wait, pirates of the caribbean hada good movie?

Hooker - 2009-07-20

I will echo Riskbreaker's question.

Syd Midnight - 2009-07-21

I think the more reserved cultures do the whole "surprise and delight" thing best. It's fun to watch them get excited.

Freeman Gordon - 2009-07-20

imo Harry Potter is possibly the worst fantasy bullshit entertainment ever to hit the modern world, but my god, Japan can truly turn around despised opinions just in seconds.

Sundry - 2009-07-20

"possibly the worst fantasy bullshit entertainment"
The fantasy genre churns out shit with regularity in every form of media there is. What you are saying is an exaggeration of a very high caliber.

Freeman Gordon - 2009-07-20

The works of J.K. Rowling and their impact .. makes me wanna punch something.

Keefu - 2009-07-20

Ok Slagathor

Sundry - 2009-07-20

That's just infantile, Gordon.

Comeuppance - 2009-07-20

Psst, guys.

It's a series of books for kids.
Not Dune.

memedumpster - 2009-07-20

Dune was overrated.

THA SUGAH RAIN - 2009-07-20

Krull. It is lightyears beyond your imagination.

Syd Midnight - 2009-07-21

Rowling is good stuff when you're 10 or 11 years old, but nobody who has hit puberty has an excuse to be into Harry Potter besides wanting to fuck one of the movie actors. Those are the punchable fans.

phalsebob - 2009-07-20

Radcliffe has the Yellow Fever.

Comeuppance - 2009-07-20

I actually kinda want a RAGE GET shirt now.

But, yeah, that's a Hufflepuff if I've ever seen one.

Hooper_X - 2009-07-20

Yeah, five stars for RAGE GET.

Five MILLION stars for the noise she makes at 3:00.
