this is the intro to the *first* season?

chaos owl - 2009-08-04

It is.

CharlesSmith - 2009-08-04

This is basically just a summary of the first episode.

infinite zest - 2009-08-04

I loved this show so much when it was on

Rum Revenge - 2009-08-04

Umpteen years later, this show still gives me the creeps. And I love it.

SCARY.WIZARD - 2009-08-04

I was just watching this.

Indidan - 2009-08-04

This is not the first season intro. This is the intro to the fourth of a series of four movies which were the precursors to the television series.

But still, Lexx.

StanleyPain - 2009-08-04

I thought the show kind of lost steam when it got to Earth, but damn everything before that was fucking gold.

chaos owl - 2009-08-04

That is an incorrect opinion, inasmuch as that was the point at which the show completely jettisoned everything except self parody, and it was only as a comedy that the show was any good.

baleen - 2009-08-04

This show was a complete mess from day one. I watched it basically to sit in awe of how terribly Canadian it was, and I watched every episode until they ran out of money and it became a budgetless exercise in filling up space by turning it into a kind of sort of X-Files thing between good and evil, at which point it became intolerable even in a bad way.

Toenails - 2009-08-04

I liked it better when it was called "Farscape". :>
/trolling

But seriously though, didn't Andromeda debut with the American release of Lexx in some sort of "SPACE SATURDAY NIGHT!!!" or something? In any case, this was clearly the better of the two.

godot - 2009-08-04

Here, that's spelled "Red Dwarf".

Stanley H. Tweedle=Dave Lister
Kai=Arnold Rimmer
Xev Bellringer=The Cat
790=Kryten
Lexx=Holly

Yeah, it brakes down a few places, but there are definitely elements of homage, and Craig Charles (Lister) and Hattie Hayridge (Holly) did guest on one episode.

Bort - 2009-08-04

I thought it was spelled "Lazytown":

You wouldn't think it if you're a foreigner, but this show is almost painfully Canadian to Canadians.

We can't even really explain why this is.

phalsebob - 2009-08-04

Hell no. This beats the ever living dicks off The Beachcombers. Lexx is all kinds of awesome.

Aoi - 2009-08-04

Oh, don't get me wrong. I wasn't dissing Lexx in any way. Hell, I grew up watching The Odyssey.

I just meant that we instantly get how Canadian it is when we're exposed to it, even though we aren't really able to articulate just what's so Canadian about it.
