Beatles' Rock Band: Ending

I didn't expect myself to like it, but then it turned out to be the fun of Rock Band plus songs I really enjoy. But you have to understand that belting Beatles tunes sauced is probably an ideal night out for me.

I kind of hate the CGI critters in the opening and endings- way too Julie Taymor/Cirque du Soleil, not enough Peter Max- but whoever did their 2d animation deserves a fucking medal.

That is exactly how I feel about the art direction in this game too.

I'd like to get the game but I'm only interested in drum and vocal parts since those plastic guitars are really hard on my wrists, and the drum and mic controllers are way too expensive standalone, especially considering how many perfectly excellent mics and USB-capable electric drumkits I already own in my actual recording studio. So I sort of just don't buy Rock Band as a matter of retarded principle at this point.

You don't need a Rock Band mic, any USB mic should work.

I realize that. it was more the drum kit I was ranting about, although I also don't have any USB mics. I haven't tried any of my USB audio interfaces to see if they'd work but I highly suspect that they wouldn't.

The gameplay itself is just Rockband + Beatles, which if you like Rockband and the Beatles is a good combo. It's the graphics, which are fucking incredible, that make this game.

I'm not a Beatles fan and am therefore prejudiced on a RockBand game exclusive to them; so I was prepared to hate this.

However, it was beautiful... so there's that...
