Then go ahead and suggest some decent tags. It's hardly a secret that mine usually suck and are cobbled together from bits of loose grammar in my pocket.
Why do Linux nerds insist on putting Linux on EVERYTHING? It reminds me of that dumb phase where everyone who considered themselves a LEET HAXOR was "overclocking" everything in their house that had a CPU in it.
Was this an off-the-shelf commercial product that someone installed Linux on, or was it a clever homebrew project that someone just happened to build around Linux and seemingly created (possibly by accident) the only time that the audio drivers have actually worked right?
Are you denying that this guitar is awesome? If not, then are you suggesting they should have paid for an operating system or something? Computers need something to make them go, and Linux is free and portable.
It's only because linux makes it possible. Windows basically only runs on Intel architectures and regular people don't get access to the mobile versions. It's the same story with Mac OS.
This was made by a software engineer/musician in Australia, and is going into actual production soon. The guitar itself uses Linux but is compatible with any OS using the midi out to interface with whatever midi controller app you have on your machine. So this running on Linux doesn't really hold it back, and probably allows for more tinkering than with other OSes.
