All I can think of is the episode of the Simpsons where Homer joins the NRA.

happninmojo - 2010-08-05 Guns aren't for toys or tools to put holes in walls when at a loss for a drill and a sturdy bit-they're for keeping the king of England out of your face.
My immediate thought is that if one wanted to kill one's wife this would be a rather brilliant way to do it, the act is so stupid and the result so tragic that it's akin to some cartoon shit. Who would possibly try and persecute such a case and then who would defend it...perfect crime, at most he'll get third degree involuntary manslaughter.
Of course I doubt this guy did it on purpose and it's more than likely a simple, stupid, tragic accident but I cannot help but think that after the dude put the second hole in the wall and his wife lay dying that the theme from "Curb Your Enthusiasm" must have been playing somewhere in epic Larry David fashion...

The way he says "Tragic accident", makes me think it wasn't.

Forgot the stars, for the intro which sounds like something I didn't think could be stated in a non-funny way, "When Richard Long couldn't put two holes in his wall to install his satellite tv system he turned to his handgun".

"He had no idea his wife was outside." Or anyone else for that matter. Fucking idiot.

Zarathustra00 - 2010-08-05 I knew this story sounded familiar. This happened March 2008 and as of the last article I could find, dated April 2008, charges were not expected.
Stupidity as an accepted excuse for murder...remind me never to move to Missouri.

When all you have is a hand gun, everything looks like your wife.
