I used to do this with Microsoft Sound Recorder. There also was a board game based on trying to speak "backwards" into a cheap little voice recorder well enough so that other players could decipher what you were saying when the recording was played in reverse.
I still do this when I'm bored.
I did this with my voicemail greeting, but changed it when people told me it sounded like I was making fun of retarded people.
