Adam Josephs is a dumb fucking chump.

Richmond - 2010-10-18

Just FYI, he's actually suing about the animated series that shot up shortly after this video was released.

Cena_mark - 2010-10-18

I'm split here. Its obvious that the cop is being a draconian asshole, yet I also hate hippies.

SolRo - 2010-10-18

counterpoint; you're a dumb troll

standard8mm - 2010-10-18

hippies wouldn't care if you smoked weed.

hippies > officer bubbles.

Buggerman - 2010-10-18

Hippies may not care if you smoke weed but they care if you eat meat, cut down trees, disrupt any kind of natural dwelling including hornets nests etc. No joke... my hippie neighbor gave me a "talking to" for killing a nest of bees under my steps that were stinging people by citing that it was disrupting the natural order of things... meanwhile they trap and kill squirrels because the squirrels dig up their precious garden. Go figure.

If you ever had to co-exist with people are die hard hippies, they are worse than any cop with a bug up their ass.

boggy84 - 2010-10-18

Being somewhat preachy, hypocritical and probably smelling bad sure is a lot worse than being the ruling class' hired thugs, dispatched to deprive citizens of their rights of assembly!

Anaxagoras - 2010-10-18

Die-hard hippies talk your ear off; bad cops beat the shit out of you. I think I'll take the hippies any day.

Wombles - 2012-02-10

I know I would rather be beaten then talked to by someone who believes they are morally superior that isn't a Christian..

Rosebeekee - 2010-10-18

Well, thank God they arrested her. Finally our streets are safe again.

stage - 2010-10-18

Is it a smart/cool thing to do to blow bubbles in a cop's face? How about blowing bubbles into my face as I work my job?

Raggamuffin - 2010-10-18

Maybe not, but when you're a cop you need to maintain a relationship with the people you're policing, and when you're surrounded by cameras you should realize that you are basically representing all cops. Maybe she was a loopy bubble blowing hippy, but I don't think it's unreasonable to ask nicely first.

fulakarp - 2010-10-18

Upon further research: in the end they didn't arrest her for bubbles, they arrested her for having a phone number written on her arm. No joke.

Rape Van Winkle - 2010-10-18

wat?

Aoi - 2010-10-18

A lot of the protesters at the G8 this year had phone numbers written on their body so they could contact legal counsel if they were arrested, since the SOP in previous G8 security was to confiscate pretty much everything but the clothes on your back when you were detained.

Naturally, the cops claimed this was evidence of conspiracy to commit something or other and used it as an excuse to arrest some people they wanted to arrest (when they didn't just arrest everyone with no excuse whatsoever, which they did a lot of).

Raggamuffin - 2010-10-18

Every cop you will ever meet in your life will either be a really cool reasonable professional, or a dyed-in-the-wool jackbooted thug. There is no middle ground.

SolRo - 2010-10-18

Having thought about it, all the cops I've interacted with fall only into those two categories.

Rape Van Winkle - 2010-10-18

Same here.

Aoi - 2010-10-18

This video is a pretty good example of that dynamic, actually.

I kind of feel bad for Blonde Female Friendlycop as she keeps shooting glances at her colleague throughout while not being able to really countermand his behavior lest she 'present an image of weakness' or some such rot.

memedumpster - 2010-10-18

Reasonable professional? Is that a Canadian thing?

azazel - 2010-10-18

Dammit, I was hoping this was somehow Trailer Park Boys related. Still, easy five because that dangerous detergent could have easily been kept out of the valiant officers' eyes with the protective eye wear they all seemed to have, although not all were wearing properly.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2010-10-18

Wow, what a dick. I guess policing aliens on Hawaii did nothing to chill him out.

TeenerTot - 2010-10-18

giggle.

Burnov - 2010-10-18

"It's a DETERGENT!"

CharlesSmith - 2010-10-18

As someone who lives in Toronto, the G20 summit was fucking gross. Nothing like a meeting of world leaders to remind you just how much contempt the ruling class has for you.

If the police ever genuinely wanted to have a good relationship with the people they're SUPPOSED to be protecting they would have to go on a campaign of firings the likes of which the policing profession has never seen.

Frank Rizzo - 2010-10-18

in this cops defense those were some pretty serious looking bubbles.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2010-10-18

You could poke someone's eye out with those bubbles.

Buggerman - 2010-10-18

When the G8 was in Calgary, the hippies came flooding in by the boatload. Filthy, disgusting hippies that were on the level of animals. You would be sitting on the train and the entire train car would reek like patchouli and cow shit.

The cops and military seemed pleasant enough... although I wasn't armed with bubbles.

Oscar Wildcat - 2010-10-18

Disrespecting a white woman like that will get ya strung up, boy!

Slagathor - 2010-10-18

I'm also torn here. I hate the stupid hippy. But the cop is an utter moron, power tripping as usual on a badge.

Fur is Murder - 2010-10-18

They let this guy carry a gun.

GiantAtomicFreak - 2010-10-18

You know, it's all too easy for you guys to make fun of this Police Officer but the fact of the matter is that if she was willing to spray bubbles all over the place she could easily have had a concealed kazoo or even a party popper.

spikestoyiu - 2010-10-18

This is a dupe.

Also, it's hilarious that the comments on these videos always end up the same: there's never any middle ground, as if nobody realizes that more than one person in any given video can be an insufferable asshole. And in this case, it works.

Anaxagoras - 2010-10-18

Psst. Look 2 posts up. And then 2 posts above that. And then look a bit higher up again. In fact... I'm going to go ahead & suggest that you're full of shit.

fatatty - 2010-10-18

Well judging from the lack of other dupe police this was one that most people missed, myself included.

Also only one person in this video is being an insufferable asshole. The other is being mildly annoying at worst. Why anyone feels the need to defend this asshat or claim she had it coming is beyond me.

And see Stanley's post for why he's my nominee for Dick of the Year Award.

spikestoyiu - 2010-10-19

I certainly wouldn't defend this guy's behavior, especially now that he's shitting his diaper over YouTube comments or whatever.

If he's a ten on the asshole scale, I'd give her a solid five for instigating a very small man in the most hilariously inept way possible. Also, if I'm not mistaken, this is the video where there's a cut before she's arrested, right? So you don't really know why she's arrested, but you're made to assume it's because she blew some bubbles? This video will take legitimately all day to load out where I am, so I'm not going to back any of this up with a viewing.

Also, two posts above mine was a joke about a gun. And two jokes above that was a joke about white women. I don't get it.

StanleyPain - 2010-10-18

This actually happened way back in July. It's becoming news now because of this douchebag's lawsuit that he be given the personal information of everyone that made nasty comments about him on the cartoon videos of him (which have now been voluntarily taken down).
Let me repeat that: He wants YouTube to provide him with the IP addresses and any other relevant information of people who MADE COMMENTS in the comment thread on the video. Surprisingly, YouTube is actually fighting it (usually they're such pussies).

This man should not be cop, period. This man should not have any job where he is allowed to deal with people in any position of authority. This video is textbook authority complex and major, MAJOR attitude problems in being charged with the job he has. This guy should have been let go and set off major alarms with the Toronto police. This is the kind of behavior that police psychiatrists consider to be major warning signs of a cop going south, big time.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2010-10-18

He wants Youtube to give him information of its posters because he wants to sue them, too?

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

RockBolt - 2010-10-18

Nice shorts
