Keep in mind, many Republicans endorsed this. The majority of Republicans endorsed ending secret holds.
The following senators voted against ending secret holds:
Jim DeMint (R-SC), Mike Lee (R-UT), Rand Paul (Retardfaggotparty-KY), and John Ensign (R-NV)

How is he a fake libertarian? Libertarians are horrible, entitled bitchbabies to a man. This just seems like business as usual.
|
Cena_mark - 2011-05-17 We want freedom for all. We don't want to take anything from anyone. How is that selfish?
|
James Woods - 2011-05-17 It's idealistic, and delusional. People will never have equal wealth, what needs to be defended is every man's opportunity to earn it.
|
baleen - 2011-05-17 Cena, you are not a libertarian. Murray Rothbard was not a true libertarian. You are a plaything of Austrian school economics and a collectivist and nothing more. You are not "for freedom" if you heartily endorse the gold standard, a movement led by international banks. What you've confused is classical liberal economics with libertarianism.
|
baleen - 2011-05-17 Furthermore, libertarianism, as a term, has centuries of history. It is closer to "socialism" in its range of definitions than what you have corrupted it to mean, i.e. "stuff I like." That's not libertarianism, that's dungheap pseudointellectual jackassery.
|
Cena_mark - 2011-05-17 Then what should I label myself as. I like Reaganomics, but I'm for gay marriage. I'm pro choice, yet pro death penalty. I'm for the 2nd amendment yet for drug legalization. I'm neither a republican or a democrat. If I can't be a libertarian what am I?

Cena_mark - 2011-05-17 Scrotum. I remember guys like you in college. The damn snobby polysci majors who acted like they were the only ones entitled to opinions on politics. I keep up with the news and don't need to read some dusty books to learn about politics. And for your information I've never read a single page of Atlas Shrugged.
Of course you guys have negative opinions on Reaganomics as you learned about it from very liberal sources. Reaganomics gave us prosperity from the 80 onward and saved us from Jimmy Carter's shit plans.

Oscar Wildcat - 2011-05-17 lol^2
Hey Cena, try googling the phrase "voodoo economics" and tell us what noted Liberal came up with this phrase to describe Reaganomics.
I lived through that shit. About the best I can say about RR is that he didn't press the button, as we all thought he would. That's about it. But seriously, you're just trolling us, right? I mean, nobody could be this much of a fool.

FABIO - 2011-05-17 Depending on which of the people who were close to Reagan you asked, it's very possible that him watching the movie War Games saved the world.
Seriously

|
baleen - 2011-05-25 I learned about Reaganomics from a man who worked in the State Department under Ronald Reagan, am an who is a Republican. "Reaganomics" is deficit spending and selective cutting of social programs. Ronald Reagan defended a weaker dollar, and he defended planned obsolescence. You shouldn't have to ask "If I'm not a libertarian, then what am I?" That makes you look like an idiot. You are a Reagan Republican, that's what you are.

The Land of Secret Holds sounds like a very unfriendly and uncomfortable place.

Caminante Nocturno - 2011-05-17
Libertarians are the embodiment of everything wrong with the western world.

Five stars for "the american people will rise up with their pitchforks and demand an end to secret holds". I can't think of a better example of just how disconnected these people are. Honey, it's bad enough being ruled by you asshats. Please don't drag us into your petty and pointless fiddling while Rome is burning.

What is that? A breccia? It's a good-looking breccia if it is.
