Mother_Puncher - 2013-05-08 I've only seen internet clips. As far as I know, the movie is about people doing really mundane things just to kill time on screen just so Tommy can throw a TV out a window and commit suicide.

StanleyPain - 2013-05-08 It's an amazing film. I saw it the "normal" way before I saw any parodies or Rifftrax or anything like that, and it really takes on a life of its own. It's difficult to describe...it's like a movie made by someone who sort of knows what a movie is and all the technical aspects of making a movie and is copying the basic dramatic structure of a movie, but who also knows nothing about human behavior or filmmaking beyond some basic things he learned in a manual or something.
Wiseau is trying to claim he did it all "on purpose" but that's bullshit.

garcet71283 - 2013-05-09 I have heard this movie best described as "made by aliens attempting to simulate human interaction"

This scene from The Room always makes me cry. Then again, every scene from The Room makes me cry.

"Oh hai, Danny. Nice tocks."
This movie always has me saying "oh hai" for a day or so after seeing any of it.

Peter hit the floor so hard he turned into Stephen in his next scene.

Nikon - 2013-05-08 the pavement, damn it.

Herr Matthias - 2013-05-09 A great Youtube comment: "After Peter says "That's it. I'm done.", we never see him again. Maybe that was actually the actor saying that right before he quit"

From Wikipedia: "Greg Ellery has claimed that Juliette Danielle was just "off the bus from Texas" when shooting began, and that on the first day of shooting, "the cast watched in horror" as Wiseau jumped on Danielle and immediately began filming their "love scene".[14]"
That is the worst thing I have ever read.
|
Nikon - 2013-05-08 It wasn't just for Juliette.
Robyn Paris, who played Michelle in the script, had the following to say:
…As soon as I got [to the set], Tommy handed me five pages and said, “We are shooting this in twenty minutes.” Sure enough, a few moments later, I was on the set wearing the same clothes in which I had arrived and we were shooting the infamous “chocolate is the symbol of love” scene. I never saw a script, never knew the context of the scene we were shooting, and never even knew who the characters were. (None of the actors ever saw a script for The Room. Tommy was worried that we would steal it.)

misterbuns - 2013-05-09 My friend was the camera op for that scene.
It was his first day and he was filmming this idiots naked ass full frame for six hours.
He quit.
This movie had an enormous crew because no one would stay on .

Every story I've ever read about the making of this movie are amazing.

Yes This Is What Human Males Do, Right? Throw A Football Around In Tuxedoes, Right? Surely This Will Be Seen As A Mundane Detail That Only Heightens The Slice-of-Life-ness of This Film, Right?
I'm not an alien.
