The only game that ever really got that kind of thing right was Fallout 1 and 2. They recapped the whole thing at the end, and you got a hint in the narrative if something you did was "evil" or "didn't turn out as well as it could have."
Fable, Bioshock, and to some degree, Fallout 3 all present you with saintly or demonic as your "choice" in these games, which really doesn't count as role-playing.
But... under this radical interpretation, where do video game characters get their morality!? Next you'll be saying that the Jedi and the Sith are just weilding an impersonal, amoral, Force and that both sides think they're doing what's right!
