Why is johnny carson described as a deity when Letterman is clearly funnier.
Because Letterman could never tap dance and play an accordion, all while balancing a bench with two elderly gentlemen on it playing chess.
Nobody expects you to fully understand this particular bit of American history, but if you don't, you certainly shouldn't act like you do.

Oh yeah, sorry for not understanding the Carson = God of comedy. I just dont get it.
I never knew Dave actually did the "Uh, you got any gum?" voice.
What the hell happens at 6:40? Something offscreen? The audience "awwww" seems out of place.
Insinuating that Dave would only be on TV for ten years.
I forgot he actually used to act like this, and it was awesome. Hes like a shadow of this now.
