I've been to Aokigahara. Spooky place, truly. The fringes of the forest are dotted with these abandoned houses which are spooky enough themselves.
I was on the Lake Saiko side, which is very hilly, so I didn't venture far in. I did find an abandoned bicycle much like the one in part two of this documentary though.

Someone was telling me about this the other day, but they couldn't think of the name of the forest, glad I found this.

Also, I'm watching/reviewing this video as I avoid reading for a class on suicide in Japanese fiction. Weird.
