In a desperate attempt to boost ratings, Meego the wacky alien accidentally contacts the castaways on Gilligan's Island.

He had more than one failed sitcom, right? The opening to this show reeks of poor decisions made in the 90's.

BHWW - 2010-09-01 Brief Google-aided research shows Pinchot was the star of another short-lived CBS sitcom in 1993, something called "The Trouble With Larry". Apparently, he played a wacky guy who'd been declared dead after going missing in Africa and years later moves in with his ex-fiance and her new guy, and it seems to have lasted for only a couple of episodes before CBS flushed it down the drain to a doubtless well-earned obscurity.
That and from what I've heard Pinchot has had a reputation as being difficult to work with. Really difficult.

You don't really see "high concept" wacky crap sitcoms like this anymore. I think they had their last big moment in the 90's and mostly on ABC. No one's really doing sitcoms anymore about the wacky mishaps of a family with a talking dog or a genie or a ghost these days. At least not in America, I can't speak for anywhere else.

On the other hand, I'd watch Bronson Pinchot as Mi-Go anyday.

Holy crap, they've got Balki, the kid from Jerry Mcgwire, and Buffy's little sister on this thing.
Some sort of perfect failure storm is occurring here, before our very eyes.

Bronson Pinchot as Mork.
No, really. He's trying to sound like Robin Williams, but he ends up sounding like Carl Sagan.
That's hilarious.
