I worked the Census in Mississippi this time around and most of the rednecks either slam the door in your face or wait until you ask them anything that can be misinterpreted as identifiable information (their name, their birth date, etc.) and then slam the door.
There were the occasional guys who would yell out things like "THERE ARE FIVE PEOPLE LIVING HERE AND THAT'S ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW!" and then slam the door.
Black folks, by and large, fill out their Census the first time.
Every now and then you run into a blue dog Democrat who just says, "Aww, shucks! Did I forget to that?" and then happily complies.
They don't understand that it was largely a bunch of southerners that came up with the census in the first place and that it is their Constitutional obligation to take the census?
