As much as I like the early concept art and the idea of Eartha Kitt having a larger role, it's hard to defend your epic story when the plot hinges on a lame Prince and the Pauper cliche.
But it is a genuine shame that Harvey Fierstein as a sassy little stone vizier didn't make it into the final movie.
Watch this while you can, Disney's lawyers are probably already drafting the takedown notice.

Holy crap, yes. I've wanted to see this movie for ten years but I was sure I'd never get the chance. New Groove is an amazing movie, made all the more amazing by the fact that it somehow survived one of the most troubled productions in modern animation history.

Shit, ever since I heard about this documentary, I really, REALLY wanted to see it, but could never track it down.
When I saw this on here at work today, I was overjoyed, and couldn't wait to watch it when I got home.
I just got home ten minutes ago. My dreams have been shattered.
Fuck you Disney. The direct to video sequels weren't enough raping of my happiness for you, were they?
