I liked how at the ending it implied the contestants were doomed to repeat the cycle of playing through this thing over and over.

No better analogy of Video Games In Hell exists.

My job at seventeen was at an Incredible Universe that had a wall of these 3DO games they couldn't sell. The one that featured Dennis Miller on the cover sticks out particularly in my mind. Then the store went bankrupt and they laid me off the day after Christmas with no warning. First eviction notice. Memories.

Also, Dallas, TX, circa 96-97 was a weird place to be.

Plumbers don't wear ties.

The mid to late 90s were such a horrible time for games. As soon as the FMV craze died down it was replaced with the 3D craze where it would look like shit compared to 2D till around 2000.

Most of my favorite games came out in 1998. not that anything you said is wrong actually...

Huh, I have crappy taste.

It's no wonder the 3DO was such a hit!

snothouse - 2013-01-07

Is this game supposed to make you sad?

Xenagama Warrior Princess - 2013-01-07

Oh booooy, it's a CACTUS! That means this game is going to be WACKY!

Also methinks the guy who plays Wormington enjoys his job too much.

I'm pretty sure the only reason two people can't occupy the same square is because that would somehow break the awesome "Your character is rolling the cyberdie" scene.

klingerbgoode - 2013-01-07

ohh lord i rented this once!

klingerbgoode - 2013-01-07

EGM really hyped how 'great' this was.

dairyqueenlatifah - 2013-01-07

I'm sure it seemed..."groundbreaking" when it was new.

klingerbgoode - 2013-01-08

They kept going on about how awesome the characters were, particularly the pez dispenser and a female drill seargeant
